Amendments to Current Schedules to the Access to Information Regulations and Privacy Regulations (Investigate Bodies)
This amendment is necessary to strengthen the capacity of federal departments and agencies to collect and share intelligence with other federal institutions and agencies, and to protect certain information in response to an access request presented under either Act.
This proposal would amend schedules to the Acts to reflect accurate names of investigative bodies that have gone through organizational changes.

ss. 77(1)(f) of the Access to Information ActThere are no expected business impacts.
The main stakeholders, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC) and the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC), were consulted in writing by the Department of Justice on June 14, 2011.
This was published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on May 12, 2012, followed by a 30-day comments period.
