A second special issue of the Revue juridique Thémis produced in collaboration with the Department of Justice of Canada under the initiative to harmonize federal legislation with the civil law of the Province of Quebec was launched on February 20, 2008. This special issue (RJT, 42-1 et 2 (2008)) is devoted to harmonization and bijuralism questions related to the Canada Business Corporations Act. You will find papers written by experts in corporate law, discussing in depth some harmonization proposals included in the Consultation Document published for the consultation held from February 1 to April 30, 2008, the object of which was the Third series of proposals to harmonize federal law with the civil law of the Province of Quebec and to amend certain Acts in order to ensure that each language version takes into account the common law and the civil law.
