Essential Qualifications
- Completion of first year of a Bachelor of Law Degree program at a recognized university. (Please note: Proof of law degree must be provided at time of appointment)
- Note: Only applicants with a "C" or above in all law school courses will be considered.
- General knowledge of the Department of Justice.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to analyse, evaluate and research legal problems.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and use a word processing application.
- Effective Interpersonal Skills.
- Dependability.
- Motivation.
- Self-confidence, professionalism.
- Adaptability.
- Sound judgment.
Official Language Proficiency
Various language requirements:
- English Essential
- Bilingual Imperative (English/French).
Conditions of Employment
- Secret security clearance.
- Candidates must be willing and able to travel.
- Candidates must be willing and able to work overtime, including after-hours and weekends.
- All conditions of employment must be met and maintained by candidates throughout their tenure in the position.
