Essential Qualifications

Education

At the time of appointment, Bachelor of Law Degree or equivalent.

Knowledge

General knowledge of the law.

Asset qualification

Good cumulative grade point average in courses pursued for law degree and an acceptable combination of education, training and experience. The selection of the candidates chosen for an interview will be based on these elements.

Operational Requirements

  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Requirement to travel which may include assignments on short notice and for extended periods.
  • Requirement to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Condition(s) of Employment

  • Reliability and Security: Secret
  • Must be a student member of the Quebec Bar at the time of appointment. The candidate must be admissible to article in accordance with the École du Barreau du Québec at the latest on December 31st, 2015. (The articles aimed by this recruitment will take place in 2015. However, it is possible that they may start before, due to operational needs, and if the students are available.
  • All conditions of employment must be met and maintained by applicants throughout their tenure in the position.
