Essential Qualifications

  • By the time of appointment the candidate must have completed two years of law school at a Canadian university or registered with the National Committee on Accreditation who reasonably expects and is scheduled to commence articling in 2014.
  • Good cumulative average in law school AND a combination of additional education, training or experience. For purposes of this process, "Good" is defined as a minimum cumulative average of B.
  • Knowledge of the work of the Ontario Regional Office of the Department of Justice or the Public Prosecution Service of Canada
  • Ability to analyse legal issues
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Judgment
  • Language proficiency: English essential

Operational Requirements

  • Candidates must be flexible with respect to hours of work, lunch breaks and rest periods.
  • Candidates will be required to travel occasionally.
