Parent Education and Information
Positive Parenting from Two Homes is a voluntary education program for parents who are separating or divorcing and parenting from two homes. The program is delivered in two three-hour sessions approximately one week apart. Trained facilitators provide information, present videos, aid discussion and answer questions to help separated parents understand their feelings and their children’s needs, and to help parents develop a business-like relationship with the other parent. During the program, parents are introduced to parenting agreements. The program emphasises the importance of complying with an order or agreement once arrangements for the children have been agreed to/decided upon.
