  20. A Crown grant that is issued to or in the name of a person who is deceased is not for that reason void ....
Problem
With the reform of the Civil Code of Québec, the term "void", used in the English version, is inappropriate.
Solution
In the English version, the term "null" is added to reflect the new civil law terminology. The term "void" is maintained for common law purposes.
