The term "propriété"
which is used in the French version to render the term "property"
in the English version is inappropriate for civil law. To avoid any confusion between the right of ownership and property in French, the concept of "property"
should be expressed for both legal systems by the term "biens"
.
In the French version, the terms "la propriété"
are replaced by "les biens"
.
