Thank you for your interest in Time-Limited Operational Funding (TLOF) through the Victims Fund. Due to the high level of demand, all available TLOF funds have been allocated for the 2012-2014 period.
The Federal Victims Strategy (FVS) consolidates all work of the federal government related to victims of crime into one objective: to give victims a more effective voice in the criminal justice system.
The Policy Centre for Victim Issues at the Department of Justice Canada, through the Victims Fund, offers grants and contributions to support the projects and activities of victim serving organizations across Canada. Time-Limited Operational Funding (TLOF) grants are available under the Victims Fund and are intended to provide funding to a limited number of victim-serving, non-governmental organizations (NGO) whose programs and activities are aligned with the Victims Fund and Government of Canada priorities. TLOF grants will help NGOs maintain services by covering operating expenses such as staff payroll, office space rental and limited capital expenditures.
The objectives of the Victims Fund, which support the objective of the Federal Victims Strategy to give victims a more effective voice in the criminal justice system, are:
TLOF may be granted to victim-serving organizations for a maximum of $75,000 per year per recipient for a maximum of two consecutive fiscal years. Organizations may reapply for subsequent TLOF prior to the end of the original two-year funding period.
