The Victim Services Directory help page is designed to help you perform two key functions: search the directory and add to the directory.
What is the Victim Services Directory?
The Victim Services Directory is a web-enabled, online directory sponsored
and administered by the Policy Centre for Victim Issues at the Department of
Justice Canada. The directory is designed to help service providers and individuals
locate crime victim services throughout Canada.
Are there any rules for posting contact information?
Yes. Please read the directory's Content Criteria for content requirements.
I want my agency to be added to the Directory. How do I do
this?
You may submit your information electronically. Select the Add, Edit, or
Delete a Service button on the left navigation bar. Select the Add option.
Fill in the form and press submit. Forms also may be printed and faxed or mailed
in. The service standard for the addition of new records is 20 working days
from receipt of the request.
I need to update my agency’s information. How do I do this?
You may request an update to your record online. Select the Add,
Edit, or Delete a Service button on the left navigation bar. Select
the Change option, fill in the form and press submit. Forms also may be printed
and faxed or mailed in. The service standard for edits to an existing record
is 15 working days from receipt of the request.
I would like my agency to be removed from the Directory. How do
I do this?
You may have your agency removed from the Directory by selecting the Add,
Edit or Delete a Service button on the left navigation bar. Select
the Delete option, fill in the form and press submit. The service standard
for deletion of a record is 15 working days from receipt of the request.
Can I prevent my agency's street address from being listed?
Yes. If your agency offers services to victims of domestic violence
or trafficking in persons or has other confidentiality concerns, you may
enter a post office box number in the street address field when you add your
agency.
Why was my submission declined?
All contact information is screened before being uploaded to the directory.

You can select multiple services, types of agencies, and types of victimization
for your search by holding down the control key (Windows) or the command key
(Mac) as you click on listings in a category.

target your search. Remember that you can always opt for the "All" option
within one or all of the search categories.
