This is a multi-year program for 2 years.
The primary goals and objectives of this proposal are as follows;
- To build knowledge and expertise on issues related to the reintegration of Mi'kmaq/Aboriginal offenders back into First Nation communities;
- To support and formalize a mutual understanding between justice service agents, First Nation communities and Mi'kmaq/Aboriginal offenders on common issues;
- To support proactive measures between relevant stakeholders to provide for enhanced service delivery to Mi'kmaq/Aboriginal offenders; and
- To promote a partnership between Mi'Kmaq Legal Service Network (MLSN) and justice service agents on common issues and concerns.
The goals and objectives of this proposal are to ensure that the process of dialogue takes place in an effort to improve the understanding that exists between relevant justice service agents, First Nation communities and Mi'kmaq/Aboriginal offenders. MLSN seeks to undertake these objectives in partnership with relevant groups in an effort to enhance service delivery to Mi'kmaq/Aboriginal offenders.
