The project will support the design of a national mobile training module for frontline workers who work in Women Shelters in Inuit communities across Canada. The development of a national training module and subsequent train-the-trainer module that can be adapted to the unique needs of each community will increase the knowledge transfer to shelter workers. This will assist frontline workers in delivering effective support to victims of abuse and family violence. In turn, this will improve services to victims in Inuit communities across Canada. This is a multi-year project from 2006 to 2008, and will be co-funded with the Family Violence Initiative in fiscal year 2006-2007.
