Using this holistic approach of healing through justice, the Program establishes new initiatives so that self-esteem and a positive self-identity can be restored, not only for current but future generations. The Mistawasis Community Justice Program staff and advisory committee propose to achieve their mission through the development, implementation and evaluation of a system of care to meet the needs of the individual, family, community and nation. The advisory committee provides guidance to Program staff to develop and implement the community justice plan which focuses on public education, crime prevention, victim services, corrections services, reintegration and alternative measures programming for youth and adults.
