Purpose: The Prince George Urban Aboriginal Justice Society (PGUAJS) will provide two programming streams for young Indigenous men who are in conflict with the law. In partnership with the Cariboo Action Society, PGUAJS will deliver culturally appropriate addiction support services at Camp Trapping for young aboriginal males on probation. An Urban Youth Diversion program will also be offered weekly in Prince George to support youth in addressing their addictive lifestyle. Service components for both programs will be culturally relevant and will include addiction education and awareness, relapse prevention based on traditional teachings and referral support for reintegration to family and community to promote healthy living and healing.
