Purpose: The Touchwood Agency Tribal Council Inc. has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team Appreciation & Recognition Dinner and One-day Training Project. The Touchwood Agency Tribal Council CISM Team is a volunteer program that responds to and assists in managing critical incidents in the community and protects the emotional health and safety of those involved in traumatic events. These dedicated volunteers may be called upon at any time, including weekends and after business hours, to respond in cases such as missing persons, suicides, accidents and other tragic incidents. This one-day event is intended to thank and motivate team members by recognizing their hard work and commitment to the program and community. The project will also help raise the profile of the CISM team so they may be easily recognized in the community and when they are called to attend to incidents.
