Description

This figure is a broken-line graph showing the actual (1977-1998) and projected (1999-2003) number of adults charged with drug offences in Manitoba. The number of adults charged is 2,057 in 1977, decreases until 1979, then increases to more than 2,100 cases in 1981. This is the maximum for the period studied. The number decreases until 1994, despite some fluctuations over the years. It reaches the mimimum for the period studied in 1994, with 1,034 drug cases. It increases again during the 1995-1998 period. The 1999-2003 projection shows a constant increase, with the number of individuals charged with drug offences being around 1,436 in 2003.
