Description

The figure above is a broken-line graph showing the number of adults charged in Quebec from 1977 to 1998, with a projection (dotted line) showing the probable trend from 1999 to 2003. The X axis shows the year; the Y axis shows the number of adults charged, in increments of 1,000, from 0 to 1,000. The number remains between 4,085 and 8,824 adults charged during the period studied.

The figure shows an increase over the years . In fact, from 1977 to 1985, the number of adults charged remains at the lowest levels from 1977 to 2003. However, the number increases, with a few fluctuations, until 1998. The projection suggests a slower increase until 2003, when the number nearly reaches 9,000 adults charged.
