Purpose:

Whe-La-La-U Area Council (WAC) has entered into a community-based justice program fund contribution agreement with the Department of Justice to manage the Alert Bay Community Justice Program.
The Alert Bay Community Justice Program provides FASD support, community support, volunteer services, after school daycare, and a variety of programs which serve the Village of Alert Bay (550), N'amgis Band (820) and Whe-La-La-U (230).
The overall goal of the program is to facilitate the resolution of issues, promote healing, responsible decision-making and to strengthen families and the community by providing responsive, effective, and holistic services in a non-judge mental manner.
