Purpose:

The Ontario Federation of Indian Friendship Centres has entered into a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to operate the Aboriginal Community Council Program. The objectives of the Program are to administer and maintain culturally-based diversion programs at Aboriginal Courtwork Program sites for Aboriginal youth, adults, and families who come into conflict with the law and to provide meaningful alternatives which address the needs of the victim.
