Purpose:

The Stó:lo Nation has entered into a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice to manage the Qwi:qwelstóm - Stó:Io Nation Justice Program.
The program's overall goals are to restore harmony in the community by involving young and adult offenders, victims, family members, Elders and the Aboriginal community to repair the harm done by the offender's behaviour, and particularly provide an opportunity for the community to assume responsibility for what is happening to their youth.
Goals are accomplished through training and community capacity building, including circle training and the organization of several community information and training sessions.
