Purpose:

This second phase will see the launch of educational "day camps" in Ottawa and other areas of the province for francophone students from grades 5 to 10 in Ontario in the 2009-2010 school years. To supplement the day camps, the AJEFO will provide educational resources it developed during the first phase of this project for the teachers at the camp, provide support services and will make itself available to answer questions, and will assist in recruiting volunteers from the justice sector. This project will help to increase awareness of students and teachers about issues related to access to justice in both official languages (specifically language rights and justice-related careers), to legal mechanisms and to French language services in Ontario.
