Purpose:
Grand Council Treaty #3 has a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to operate the Treaty #3 Community Justice Program. The Program is accepting pre- and post-charges for diversion to be addressed in a community-driven justice approach in four First Nations in north-western Ontario. The long-term goal is to reduce the number of Treaty #3 members involved in the criminal justice system and address the root causes of the social ills in the communities.
