Purpose:

The Cowessess First Nation has entered into a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Cowessess Community Justice Program.
The objectives of the program are to develop and deliver community-based justice programming that focuses on alternative measures, crime prevention and reintegration programming.
The program also works closely with other justice and human services agencies including the RCMP, Corrections Services Canada, and Social Services to develop integrated community justice approaches that reflect the needs of the community.
