Purpose:

The Northern Village of La Loche has entered into a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the La Loche Community Justice Program.
The vision of the program is to deliver and maintain, in a fair and just manner, community justice services designed to enhance and nurture mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being. Using this approach, a positive identity can be restored or realized for current and future generations.
The objectives of the program are to develop and deliver services related to crime prevention, public education, dispute resolution/peacekeeping and alternative measures for youth and adults, including diversion, healing circles, family group conferencing and community-based support programming for offenders.
