Purpose:

The Mushuau Innu First Nation has entered into a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Natuashish Innu Justice Program.
The Natuashish Innu Justice Program is a restorative justice approach which begins with the offender taking responsibility for his or her actions. The program will utilize traditional processes to promote healing and understanding while collaborating with a wide range of client groups in order to serve the people of the Mushuau Innu First Nation.
The program will strengthen families and restore traditional core justice values by accommodating the cultural, geographical and linguistic diversity of the Innu people.
