Purpose:

To develop a Guide for Canadian victim service providers pertaining to victims and the media. The Guide will address issues such as: faciliation of sensitive and respectful treatment of crime victims by the news media; effective advocacy for victims in the media; building positive relationships with the news media; and the impact and use of social media by victims and consideration for service providers.
