Purpose:

The Recipient proposes to develop a model that will encourage gang-affiliated Aboriginal youth in conflict with the law and involved in, or at risk of involvement in, gangs to attend traditional Rites of Passage Teachings and participate in Vision Quest ceremonies. The purpose of this model is to encourage investment in positive youth development that will hinder gang affiliation and help prevent recidivism.
