Purpose:

This project will assist the organization in its efforts to assess the legal treatment of consent in sexual assault law in Canada, Kenya, Ghana and Malawi. The goals of the project are to identify best practices that are working to the benefit of victims, to identify the source of any disadvantageous treatment of victims and to develop recommendations for reform. These objectives will be achieved through the research and analysis of relevant case law, the development of comparative analyses amongst jurisdictions, and an inter-disciplinary assessment of strategies for reform.
