Purpose:

Activities will be undertaken during this two month period toward the development of the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre for Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry, and Akwesasne (CYAC). In this short timeframe, PrévAction will focus on the following three activities: 1) Meeting with community professionals to seek their input in the development of a CYAC for the region; 2) Updating and distributing a directory of services for child and youth victims of abuse and related service providers to avoid duplication of services; and 3) Hosting a training event to educate teachers and other stakeholders and to raise awareness on the impact of victimization on children and youth.
