Purpose:

The United Chiefs and Councils of Mnidoo Mnising (UCCMM) have entered into a contribution agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to establish the Gladue Caseworker Program for the Manitoulin District.
The UCCMM Gladue Caseworker Program provides Gladue services for Aboriginal offenders in the Manitoulin District. The Gladue caseworker prepares Gladue reports to assist the court in taking into account the unique circumstances of Aboriginal defendants.
