Purpose:
|
The purpose of the proposal is to secure funding for the Victim Support Services pilot program for victims of crime in Mi'kmaq First Nations communities of Nova Scotia. The Mi'kmaw Legal Support Network's Victim Support Services Program provides culturally holistic support services for Aboriginal victims of crime. The program also provides Aboriginal victims and witnesses of serious crime an integrated service to enable victims to participate effectively in the justice process.
