Purpose:

Dakota Tipi First Nation has entered into an agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Dakota Tipi First Nation Community Justice Program.
The Program will provide increased involvement in the administration of justice through community and restorative justice processes that are grounded in Dakota principles and practices. It is anticipated that utilizing a community and restorative approach will decrease crime and incarceration rates of members of Dakota Tipi First Nation.
