Purpose:

The organization is organizing a conference, to be held in Markham, Ontario in May 2012, that will bring together government and non-government agencies, community members, police services and community services providers involved in prevention and response to violence. Participants will identify programs, sector-specific training and public education campaigns needed to develop and deliver an effective community development strategy to address the issue of family violence in South Asian communities.
