Purpose:

The Recipient proposes to develop and pilot the Drug Intervention Program for youth currently involved with the justice system who have issues with illicit drug abuse. The program will include individual and group sessions which pertain to drug awareness, abstinence, health and safety, relationship management and life coping methods. Each youth will have an individualized plan created which will include a set of goals and measurable activity steps by which to achieve progress towards abstinence, greater self-sufficiency, reduced involvement in the justice system, skills enhancement, increased involvement in school and/or employment.
