Purpose:

The Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to implement and deliver the Ahtahkakoop Community Justice Program.
The Program provides alternative measures and intensive case management for adults and youths through the Community Justice Committee and the work of the Justice Worker.
The Program objectives include activities relating to public education, crime prevention, dispute resolution and developing and implementing alternative measures programs for youths and adults including family group conferences, healing and sentencing circles, and community-based support programs for offenders.
