Purpose:

The Manitoba Metis Federation Inc. (MMF) has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage and deliver the Metis Community Justice Program.
The Program delivers an alternative justice program that supports court diversions of Métis individuals from the mainstream justice system to the Métis community. The Program's goal is to reduce the number of Métis who are involved in the criminal justice system by using local Metis culture and values in a restorative justice approach. The Program works in partnership with the MMF Regional Offices.
