Purpose:

The Tlicho Government has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to coordinate and host a five-day regional justice meeting to train Justice Coordinators on restorative justice programming.
The Project will result in the development of a new restorative justice training manual; train Justice Coordinators on diversions; provide an opportunity to build support and network within the Tlicho Region; strengthen partnerships with stakeholders such as Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Victims Services and Probation Officers; and gather input and ideas from the communities of Behchokò, Wekweètì, Whatì, and Gametì.
