The Aboriginal Legal Services of Toronto Inc. has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Gladue Caseworker Program.
The Aboriginal Legal Services of Toronto's Gladue Caseworker Program provides Gladue services for Aboriginal offenders in the Waterloo-Wellington and Sarnia regions. The objective of the Program is to support the steady stream of Gladue report requests through Gladue caseworkers. The caseworkers generate Gladue reports to assist the court in taking into account the unique circumstances of Aboriginal defendants when determining sentencing.
