Purpose:

The organization proposes to pilot a community-based drug treatment program for youth in Elgin County who are involved in the justice system and have issues with illicit substance abuse. The program will operate seven days a week, with an individual treatment plan developed with the input from each youth and with the involvement of family members. Youth will receive both individual and group support from the community in order to assist in the reduction in substance abuse, to develop positive social skills, and to reduce future involvement with the criminal justice system.
