Purpose:
|
The project consists in offering a French terminology course in criminal matters to defence lawyers of British Columbia. The training includes an online learning module on criminal French terminology and a practical workshop consisting of a moot court where participants have the opportunity to use the terminology learned in the online module. As youth and newcomers will participate in the moot court by acting as jurors, the project also raises awareness among these participants about language rights related to criminal law.
