Purpose:

This project is the third phase of an overall initiative to implement communication intermediary (CI) services across Canada. Building on the findings of its July 2012 feasibility study on the need to assist Canadians with speech or language disabilities to communicate effectively with police and legal professionals, the organization will continue the implementation of CI services in the remaining provinces in Canada, namely Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
