Purpose:

The recipient proposes to develop and implement "The Fort Providence Youth Wellness Program", a reintegration and rehabilitative program for youth involved in the youth justice system. Programming will include in class assistance, tutoring and mentoring, physical activities, employable skills training, career planning, and various counselling sessions and activities to help address the use of and addiction to illicit drugs. In addition, targeted youth will be offered land-based experimental learning opportunities focusing on multi-day expeditions and acquisition of land based skills.
