Purpose:

The Recipient agrees to support a two day conference which will include an information/knowledge development session in order to educate participating Courtworkers, justice service providers, senior community representatives and invited justice system representatives on the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act. The Knowledge Event will also include training on the role of the Aboriginal Courtworker in the justice system, helping justice personnel to understand the culture, values and customs of Aboriginal people and the social and economic situation of their clients.
