Purpose:

The Manitoba Metis Federation Inc. has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage and host the Manitoba Regional Gathering. The training sessions include "Vicarious Trauma and Applied Suicide Intervention Training (ASIST).
The ASIST training will provide justice workers with suicide intervention skills. The Vicarious Trauma training will help justice workers to equip themselves with tools and skills to protect themselves from exposure to hard issues they encounter in their work on a regular basis.
