Purpose:

The Whe-la-la-U Area Council has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada. The objective of the project is to deliver the 'Healthy Relationships' training module at a regional scale. The focus of the training module is to address relationship challenges and to incorporate relevant cultural, traditional, and historical perspectives. It builds on training that already exists in many Aboriginal Communities such as Respectful Relationships and Facilitation Skills. The curriculum was designed to fully engage participants to develop strong transferrable communication and problem solving skills. Clients, communities, stakeholders and other related program service providers will benefit from this training.
