Purpose:

Fishing Lake Métis Settlement has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to operate a project entitled, "Youth Justice Committee Capacity Building."
Through this project, members of Fishing Lake Métis Settlements' Youth Justice Committee will benefit from receiving targeted training aimed at expanding their existing services to include adult alternative measures, on Restorative Justice Facilitator Training, Conflict Resolution and Dealing with Difficult People. This opportunity will further support the Committees mandate in diverting (pre-charge) referrals to the RCMP and the Crown.
