Purpose:

The People's Law School has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Project "The People's Law School Access to Restorative Justice Forums". The objective of the project "The People's Law School Access to Restorative Justice Forums" is to deliver at least five presentations on the role of restorative justice in the legal system. The project includes a performance of a Justice Theatre legal drama which incorporates restorative justice proceedings; a panel discussion; an audience question and answer period and a Restorative Justice handbook. The forums bring together various justice stakeholders, schools, and agencies to increase awareness and build capacity to provide better access to restorative justice.
