The Flat Bay Band Inc. has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Bay St. George (BSG) Mi'kmaq Youth Justice Strategy (Phase One - Capacity Building).
The establishment of five justice committees in the Bay St. George area will be explored and relationships formed with local stakeholders and service providers.Training will be given by Newfoundland's Miawpukek First Nation on their model of Healing & Sentencing Circles. A needs analysis report and a "Go Forward" plan and Evaluation will be developed.
