Champagne and Aishihik First Nations has entered into a funding agreement with the Department of Justice Canada to manage the Haines Junction Community Justice Program.
The Program will provide restorative justice and dispute resolution. Also, it will deliver training and workshops to the Justice Committee; promote and increase awareness through education and presentations to Elders, community members, and youth on crime prevention, crisis support to build safe communities; and, increase program presence in the corrections system to ensure culturally appropriate components are available.
