Purpose:

This project will support FASD training for Aboriginal Court Workers representing 5 service delivery areas in Alberta. The training will provide a clear understanding of FASD as a disability; proper and timely referrals for FASD assessment and diagnosis; implementation of appropriately developed recommendations and FASD informed practice changes. This project will also include a facilitated session on overrepresentation of Indigenous people in the criminal justice system.
